    Screen resolutions on a 1420/1400

    Can someone post pictures of the Inspiron 1420 or Vostro 1400 with the XGA display and XGA+ display? I'm having a tough time choosing between the two. I would like to see if the font on a resolution of 1440x900 is as small as people say it is.

    font on 1440x900 is not small. its perfectly fine. if it bothers you that much, you can change the font size on webpages and what not with ctrl + scroll wheel

    Go to the store and look at a same size screen with that resolution. That will be the best way to see how small it is. Personally, I like high res screens (my lappy is 15.4" with 1680 x 1050). Some people like lower res screens. Best thing to do is see what you like, and go based off of that.

    You can increase DPI to make fonts look bigger without any ill effects at higher resolutions. For example here are some screen shots of Vista with different DPI settings : Windows Vista DPI scaling
