Hey everyone i'm pretty new at this. i've had my dell inspiron 6000 for 2 years now. i recently opened up my laptop because of sluggish performance. i thought i'd clean out the dust. i followed the instructions on how to access the cpu and cleaned out the dust. i put everything back together but now my screen doesn't work all the time. there are times when i boot up and nothing shows. there are times where the screen randomly turns off.  the computer is still running but the screen is black. any ideas?

    thanks in advance

The bulb in the screen may have died

You may have loosened your video cable in the laptop. You should try, carefully, to disassemble and check all of the connections, if possible try to turn it on while it is somewhat disassembled so you can try to troubleshoot further. Hope this helps.

It is probably getting too dusty, try to use compressed air after disassemble. Since you are can turn it on sometimes, this should do the trick.
