Hey guys, just found out the 3year NBD warranty I thought I'd paid for over the phone is actually a 3 year limited warranty with complete care.
Why do I care? Because you need the NBD to get service outside of the states...
Since I plan to be living overseas for the next few years, this is obviously a big deal for me.
What can I do? My rep won't be back in the office till the weekend (he's part time), so any good way to sort this out? I'm pretty pissed off about it!

call dell ? ask them to put it in? cancel the order and re order it with it? i dunno youll get better advise
-
I'm probably going to feel completely stupid for asking, but what does NBD stand for?

NBD = Next Business Day

oh... yeah i feel stupid
You can upgrade your warranty. All you need to do is call the warranty department:

Thanks for the replies.
My problem is that the rep told me I'd already paid for it.. we had a long conversation about it. I don't want to pay for it again. -
You shouldn't have to pay for it all over again. They should be able to take the difference between the NBD and the mail in, and you'll have to pay for that.

Good news... the overseas representative was simply wrong about my case. Turns out I do have the 3 year NBD warranty. The American agent said that all warranties with three years at home service automatically include international coverage and the NBD type service.
Dell's US phone agents once again get the job done!
