I just got the notebook yesterday... the scroll bars were working, but then they stopped. Also in the control panell "mouse" section, it use to recognize that it was a touch pad. Now it thinks its just a regular mouse.

    How do I fix this?

My I9300 does the same thing...it doesn't recognize it as a touchpad. I would go to Dell.com and see if they have any newer drivers. My touchpad scrollbars only work to the far left side for the vertical scroll...it is a little outside the lines.

I dont think so... I think I know what I may have done. I hate processes so I turned off most of the ones that happen at sartup.

But it's fixed now anyways. I just downloaded the driver and its working again.

Sounds like you turned off something that loaded the touchpad info... reinstalling the drivers may have reset it!!?

Sometimes wireless mouse will have conflict with touch pad drivers. Especially wireless mouse driver may have conflict with touchpad driver. Take your wireless mouse receiver away uninstalling the mouse driver and reboot see if everything goes back to normal.
