I don't like the way the Alps touchpad behaves when scrolling. Instead of emulating a scroll wheel, touching the scrolling part of the touchpad results in some stupid form of autoscrolling. This is not a very responsive way of scrolling, it's not really usable.
I was wondering if it is possible to make sure it scrolls like a scroll wheel. I read somewhere that installing the Synaptics touchpad driver and then editting some ini file might work, but I didn't really see how I could get this working.
I installed the Synaptics touchpad driver and it works fine, but I have lost scrolling functionabilities.
Does anybody else have an idea?

Go onto controll panel, and then go to "mouse settings" click on the synaptics tab, and look through the settings, you will eventually find one which says about "scroll zones" set this to "enable" and it should make the bottom and far right part of the touchpa into scroll zones...
I havent really had any experiance with "alps" touchpas though. -
The problem is that the Synaptics settings don't show scroll settings.
