This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hi,
    Has anyone tried installing the SATA hard disk on their Dell notebooks?
    I wanted a faster hdd for my dell Inspiron 8600.
    I found this on the Internet "Seagate 80GB 2.5" 7200RPM SATA Notebook HDD" and very keen to install it.

    Or is this wishful thinking?
