I have a 600m with a 48 WHr 6-Cell Secondary Modular Bay Battery. I guess I let it go all the way down and it will not recharge now. The interior battery is fine, recharges all fine and well, but when I put the secondary battery in it won't do anything.

I open the power meter and it shows that it recognizes the secondary battery. It shows it at 0% with a red X through it. I don't know what the little flashing LEDs that are located below the righthand side of the screen, but whenever I have the secondary battery in it blinks orange. Any help is appreciated, this is driving me nuts. Thanks

does it blink fast orange? I had to read up on a similar problem when my one friends Inspiron 600m was having battery problems. When the battery light blinks orange rapidly, it means the battery is defective.
