Hi, I have an Inspiron 9400. When I got the computer it had Media Direct. I've had the computer for about 2 years. It recently crashed or something and I sent it in to be repaired. When I got the computer back my Media Direct was gone. :/ The only thing I have is Dell Media Experience. When I launch Dell Media Experience and click on the movie I have in my dvd drive it opens the movie in PowerDVD. Why is that?
My media direct control buttons on the front of the computer work for the PowerDVD and what not but I like the Media Direct movie player better. Also, When I press the Media Direct button while the computer is off it just turns my computer on and boots to my OS like normal. Does anybody have an idea about what they did to make my media direct disappear? How do I get the media direct back? Can I download it and have it just work like it did before?
Also, I do have Quickset and I got my computer from Rent A Center. Rent to own type deal. Because the computer is insured with them I can get it repaired through them so that's where I sent it when it crashed.
Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

I use GOM player.
I know it will not fix your problem, but it is the best player for me overall
Sent my Inspiron 9400 in to be repaired now Media Direct is gone
