Who has a September 21 ship date?
When was your order date?
Whats your system specs?
Have you received a delay?
-
-
I had a 9/20 ESD and I ordered on 8/14 (mine already shipped, though)
-
I have a Sept. 21 shipping date ordered August 16th. I entered shipping on the 1st.
1721 Ruby Red
AMD TL-64
160x2gb HD
1505 wireless N card
Built in bluetooth
9 cell battery
2yr Accidental damage and LoJack -
Had to change up my order on the 29th of August and now have a ESD of Sep. 21st.
-
-
If has to do with hardware you have to cancel and re-order. I'm on my third order due to the fact that the wait time kept getting less and less, plus the priced dropped.

My Order Date is 8/29/2007
My Shipe Date is 9/21/2007
My Delivery Date is 9/24/2007
I Hope is does not get delayed that would F*cking suck, I am going on a two week trip back east to visit family on the 29th, I better have my Inspiron by then! -
I ordered mine on 08/29 and have a shipping date of 9/21 as well.
Specs in sig, I hope it gets done sooner, although I'd simply be happy with no delay!
I had a nice dream last night that my order had shipped... LOL
Too bad I woke up to find I was 2 hours late for work!
MD -
Yeah me to MDizzle, would love to get it early seeing as school starts on 9/24 but I will definately be ok if it just doesn't get delayed and besides Dell has already upgraded me to NBD shipping without ever asking for it.
-
i am going to guess it is the screen that is holding his up.
-
Holding who's up? -
Call automated line at 12 and it is on the way to the carrier but wont get it till Monday at the earliest 3-5 day shipping.
-
-
Anyone know why the production period for the 1720's are so damn long? The 1520's are flyin out of that place but it takes them a whole month to produce, test, and box my computer? So rediculous..
-
i have not seen a single yellow 1720 other than a 1721 shipped out ...
-
I ordered on Aug 13th, and was given an ESD of 9/21 originally... then two days later, on Aug 15th, I was bumped up to an ESD of 9/18, and it stayed that way until today (9/5) when my order has officially shipped...
-
Lucky you jamesnine. It's good to see some people are getting there's in a timely fashion. I hope mine does the same. C'mon no wammies.
-
I have an ESD of 9/22.... I ordered July 19... :-\
-
Holy $h*t, I hope you were comped very well for the serious inconvenience. C'mon now 6 est. shipping dates..man I'd be furious.
-
:-\... so far all I have is $50... and a credit back for my NBD shipping (since that's what I selected at checkout anyway)... But trust and believe I am going to fight for more... cause this is getting ignorant..
-
To say the least. According to some other people on here by now you should have been offered more than that for being a patient customer. Dang, I hadn't even really noticed until a second ago that they changed it twice today.
-
$50?? **** i would have gave em HELL!! You gotta call them up and start some **** man, show them no mercy! i heard about some people on these forums getting $200 added to there credit cards + loads of other free stuff. They do have a limit of what they can do for unhappy customers, push them to that limit m8!
-
My order came through today, Delivery is apparently 21st Sept max but could arrive as early as 5 days.
I think Dell lies. -
Awwww yeah I just did my routine morning check on the Dell automated line and it says mine is currently in the boxing phase!!!! Now if it's only true I will be the happiest man alive. C'mon Dell don't drop the ball so close to the finish line.
-
How long did it take for you guys to get your confirmation aknowledgement forms?
-
I was in testing on the 28th, boxing on the 29th, and then delayed 3 weeks because of the cpu on the 30th. When I signed into chat to check out the delay I was told that I cannot trust the status line and that I had been delayed because of the cpu. So in other words just because the status line says you're in boxing, doesn't mean that you are. -
I look twice a day on the dell website to see what the status is on my order and it has not changed yet stil says "In Production". When its in the Boxing stage does it actaully say "In Boxing stage"? or did you guys have to call to find out this info?
-
You have to call to find out.
-
Yeah just call the automated line 1-800-433-9014. Not sure if that is US only. But it will tell you what phase of production if u enter the order id #.
-
Apparently my order has been released, but the waiting line at the dell customer support said that this can take up to 5 days, so at the moment, I can't even check what's going on. -
You should have your order id, customer id, etc. from the original invoice they send you via e-mail right after you ordered.
-
On the phone, whilst your waiting (forever I might add) there's an automated message there that says "if you have the following numbers press 1. Please note that they may take up to 5 days before you receive them" OWTTE. -
Wow, that is strange I received mine befrore I was even off the phone with Dell. Now I just call the automated line and start entering in my 9-digit order number. You dont even have to wait for prompts.
-
When I called back, the rep said she'll put it on her calendar.
I got my order number about another call after that, but I still need a customer number to access it on the Dell.co.uk website. -
-
Okay just called them i guess i'm still in the build stage
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the T7300 processor.. If i would have known it was gonna delay my order i would have just ordered a 2.2GHz.. ugh! Is it possible to call and cancel the 2.0GHz and order the 2.2GHz? Maybe that would hurry up the whole thing??
-
-
Yeah smalls is right I'm on my 3rd order right now because of wanting to change stuff.
-
great.. i'll just have to stick it out then
-
it looks like the new entry procc will be the t7250 not the t7500... just fyi it is what is listed on intels web site as well as being available on dell's.... most likely they will continue with the new t5250 then t7250 then t7500 t7700 etc... the 7100 and 7300 are both gone now

My ESD is 9/22, my 6th ESD as well. It changed twice in one day, one hour after being told that yes my laptop would be shipped in the next 3-4 days.
I am getting very ****ed off that later order dates are getting shipped well before my July order. That is on top of my irritation about the continual changing of the ESD. -

Another sales rep just called me to say the one I had dealt with basically lied about my 21st September 2007 delivery date. It will arrive just in time for it to be of no use to me as I will be out of the country.

GRRRR! -
Yey a Dell rep just called me(as promised) and said a service tag had been issued for my computer and mine should be shipped out today hopefully, but if not today it will definately go out on monday via NBD shipping. Which is 10-11 days sooner than they estimated.
-
