just wanted to compare the estimated shipping dates for orders placed that week. I ordered a 1420 (high res, glossy, wxga+), T7300, Geforce 8400gs, 160gb, alpine white.

Estimated shipping date: Oct 8th.

Hope you all get yours soon too!

 

Ordered Vostro 1700 on sept 16th at night

EST shipping date sept 21st

why are all the inspirons and vostro's shipping faster then the precision laptops?

 

ordered 1420 on 14th evening, EDD - 4th Oct

 

I ordered the Vostro 1700 on 9/12 with an original ESD of 9/19 but it has been delayed to 9/26 due to an LCD backorder:

2.2GHZ, 8600M GT, 3GB Ram, 160GB HDD, 17" WUXGA

 

I ordered right around 1PM, CST on September 13th, and the estimated ship date hasn't changed from October 5th.
Crossing my fingers.. I'm in Day 3 of Boxing, and fighting the temptation to hope for it to come early.

Noontime edit/update: It's now out of Boxing and in the Shipping stage. Things are looking hopeful!

 

I ordered on 9/14, ESD was 10/8. I received an email last night (9/20) saying it had been shipped. I paid for next day, so we'll see if it gets here today.

 

Just arrived. I have to wait for 6 hours to get home from work to play with it.

 

Ordered on 10th of September, estimated shipping date is 18th of October. After being told on the phone that it'd be with me within a week or two, I'm furious.

 

Ordered 13th of September... Original ESD 8th of October... Actual Shipping Date.. TODAY!
It should arrive on Monday apparently!

Hey guys, good news, ordered my xps 1330 (w/ slim led, black, fingerprint, upgraded ram, bluetooth) on sept. 9 , went into production sept. 11, and just got an update that it is being shipped (sept 21st). I checked the tracking and it was shipped from the US on sept 20th, Im in canada. My original EDD was oct. 4th, now is sept. 24th.

 

Hello everyone.

I didn't order a laptop or desktop from Dell. Instead I ordered an Xbox 360 Pro. I ordered it on Thursday the 16th, but it wasn't confirmed until the 18th.

Whenever I sign on to my account on Dell.ca (that's right, I'm a canuck too) instead of displaying the status of my order, I just get "No recent orders to display" which is a little concerning, since I did, in fact, order it. I called Dell and asked them about the status and apparently it's being processed, but it's not set to be shipped until October 1st! Apparently the status will become visible in my account once it's shipped. (Is that correct, or should it say something before that?)

I guess I can understand that, since they're not actually producing the Xbox 360, but what I don't understand is why it takes so long for them to ship it. They don't have to assemble all the little pieces. They just need to pull the box off the shelf, slap my address on it, and then hand it over to Purolator. But instead I end up waiting 2 and a half weeks for it to be shipped.

And I'm currently living in the Canadian Arctic so shipping is...gonna be a while. *sigh* Oh well.

 

I order 1420 on sep 8 and it was shipped on 20th..I am in Canada
does anyone know if they will ask me to pick it up somewhere if I am not home when they delivery the laptop?

Bonjour tous - Made my order on Sept 11th and had a ship date of October 2nd. I had no idea about any delays or any problems that I now have become privy to, so now I'm extra happy I went with Jet Black amongst other options.

Anyway - my unit ended up going out early and arrive today on the 21st of Sept. Not too bad.

And let me just say I love the damn thing! Everything looks beautiful and fully functional, for now!

Did anyone else have a Dell rep emailing you during the wait, letting you know what the status of the build is - before it is actually posted?

 

order was processed sept 13th and tonight it says shipped... that was fast

 

Color me pleasantly surprised; I already have a tracking number with DHL.
My work week ends on Monday; I might get to spend my weekend with the new toy!

 

ordered a pink 15" 2.2ghz 4gb 7200rpm 8600gt on 19th-Sep, laptop left factory on 21st-sep, should be here real soon.

which makes me think, my friend and many other people placed their order like two months ago and still waiting... :-(

 

I ordered on Thurs 13th, the "expected" arrival date is on Tuesday 25th September.

Wow.. color me pleasantly surprised - it arrived this morning at 1106AM! No apparent flaws with the laptop.. looks gorgeous, and I'm still tinkering with the initial settings. (good luck, everyone!)
