Hey, I got my E1505 on Wednesday (nice 2 day 3-5 day delivery :) ) and I still can't enter my service tag into the "My Systems and Peripherals" section on the My Account area of Dell. Anyone have any idea how long it can take before I am supposed to be able to enter my service tag or is this an anomaly? Also, will I be able to see which LCD manufacturer I got when I am finally able to do this? Is there another way?

You should be able to enter it in by now. You might double check your service. Its on the bottom of your laptop and is a 8 digit code. You should be able to see your manufacturer once you have entered it in. If you can't get it to work, you might contact dell about it. I've never seen it where a code didn't work.

Just to confirm your service tag in case it still doesn't work. Download and install NHC (you need Framework 2.0 too) and go to the Info tab and click Show Computer Hardware Details and you will see under Product > Identifying Number the service tag for your computer.

It should work as it is shipped with that number usually on the bill of lading. Mine worked before I even had the computer.

My service number (or customer/order number for that matter) doesn't work either.

Thankfully the laptop works just fine.
