This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Do they need to be running for a regulare Dell Laptop should work? If you don't use the modem (dial-up) or using Windows built-in sharing service?




    Have disabled a bunch of stuff and done this and that, after boot only 99mb of ram and 13 process (this includes the Taskmanager) is in use and the computer is faster then ever before, quick quick. I still am using Themes to make Windows a bit prettier though.

    You'll need netman if you expect to use your Network to view resources on other machines. It isn't just for dial-up.

    With the other, you won't be able to config your hard drive. Whats the danger in leaving automatic?

    If nothing needs them, they won't be started.
