congrats on the new rig. I was kind of on the fence about the black chainlink but saw it at a local Bestbuy and really liked it, it was very understated.

Apart from the 900p display (I have 720p), it looks like you and I have pretty much identical configurations. You should be quite happy with it. :)

    Congrats !!!
Mine is also the same .. except 900p. I ordered on Aug 20th and it shipped on Aug 27th :) my EDD is now Aug 29th.
    Congrats to me too :)

Mine is shipping to my place in Bellevue, Washington , looks like it shipped from Reno NV, so it takes 2 days for me.
Though it says 3-5 days shipping, it is shipping via FEDEX ground. I dont know if all lappy;s ship from Reno NV, mine does thats for sure. And good that i am closer to Reno NV. If iwas in New York it would have taken 5 days ... :)
I wish i was in bay area, i would have got it in 1 day.

By the way, are there any things I can delete from the computer that Dell installed that I really don't need? I uninstalled Dell Dock already. Anything else?

I actually kept the Dock; I rather like it. I just reformatted and installed Vista from scratch. The only things I installed were the hardware drivers, the Dell Dock, QuickSet, and the Dell Touchpad thing.

i found that after installing a few software's my harddisk in use was 71GB !!!! god know how !!!! Moreover factory sends with a single partition, which i dont like, so i tried to shrink the partition using windows disk manager, but looks like during one of my defragmentation attempts a chunk was placed in the end of the drive, so i wasnt able to shrink it .. so i used Gparted so that i can reboot into linux and shrink it from there.. I wanted about 140GB for that .. since my HDD is 320 .. usually i see only 300, out of which 20 is for recovery so finally usable is only 280GB. so with 140 GB used i will get another 140GB for ubuntu etc. Well Gparted did it great ... but it took 3 hours !!!
Once done, when i restarted .. well startup repair opened, and it was attempting repair .. now i realize its better to do a vista install from scratch, good that dell sends all drivers and OS reinstall disks !!! ?Yippie i am going to reinstall the OS from scratch, that would be fun !
