    Hello,

    I'm planning on purchasing a Dell XPS M1530 with a 6 cell battery. How long will it take from clicking the 'buy now' button until the item is at my doorsteps ? (buying at dell.ca from Ontario, Canada)

    Well, I used EPP, but I ordered mine on June 29th with a 6-cell and it is in boxing as of yesterday. It's really a game of luck though.

    Ordered June 23rd, picked up from post office July 3rd. So about 1 1/2 weeks for me.

    ordered june 13, got it july 4th, in Mississauga, Ontario. but then they had some delays going on so it should be less now

    I'm in the US...my total ship time from when originally ordered was about 3 weeks..But there was a back order on a part, so that delayed it ;) :)

    in toronto here
    i ordered on the 24th and it just went into shipping today (July 7th)
    the estimated shipping date was the 17th thou

    there was no delay on any of my parts when i ordered

    This is ridiculous. I ordered on June 6th and mines isn't even shipped yet.

    I'm really not sure is going on with my laptop. The customer reps tell me that it was supposed to be shipped on July.7 (they confirm that it is fully built/tested/etc.). Then they called me on July.8 to apologize and say that they have no idea why it had not been shipped the day before. They say that they will see to it that it will be shipped on July.8. It is July.10 today, and my laptop has yet to be shipped. What is taking them so long? Well... it is still a long way from my ESD. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm in Toronto, Ontario, Canada by the by.

    I'm almost to the point of running off to my nearest brick and mortar store and picking up an Acer Aspire One just to satiate my "new laptop" need, its so bad.

    Are you talking about the "My Account" order status or the one under "support"? The two different sections are through two different computer systems, so they don't both update at the same time.

    I would contact Dell just to be sure.

    I always get an error when clicking on the Order number (since the time I ordered my dad's laptop two years ago). I enter it manually from Support > My Order Status.

    Obviously thats today, and when I emailed customer support yesterday to seek out an update, they said it's delayed and they will call me on the 24th to confirm. I called about 10 mins after getting the additional week delay to cancel the order (I was quiet upset, and i don't NEED the laptop), they said it was in final build stages and would ship monday and be at my door friday.

    Even after asking why I am not informed, and when I seek answers i get mixes response... they said they had no idea.

    SO, this is my first bad dell experience, but I suppose I SHOULD get my studio 15 next week.

    I wish they would ship the package a bit faster. I mean... 5 work days from Ireland to Norway?? But it's going by road so I suppose that's standard ship time.

    Luckily Schenker has a SMS service informing me of every little change in the shipment status. Now my heart does a somersault each time I get a msg on my phone. :D
