    Shortcuts on start menu are not working

    Hi there

    I've been looking for someone to help me with a peculiar problem. I've being googling but no lucky.

    the thing is, i have a problem with almost all shortcuts that are placed into the quick link bar, the program just dont starts its like im clicking nothing. also the the same problem comes up when i click into the results that comes up from the search box into the start menu. like Office programs, Itunes and more.

    however if i browse the start menu instead of using the search box it works fine.. even the same shortcuts!!!

    anyone knows how to fix it?

    technical : vista ultimate 64x sp1
    all updates done
    shortcuts are with the links well done
    ive also tried to turn the index off and on with the same result
