Alright, I ordered and received my laptop in mid-August. I've pretty much had escalating problems since the day I got it. I have a screen that I did not order (I order an anti-glare and received a glossy), I have a wobbly base (dos not sit flat on a surface), it has a squeaking hinge (sound like the plastic is breaking), I also have the ever-so-common headphone jack problem and whiny processor. I was willing to overlook the screen for the moment because I needed a laptop right away but now I can wait. I don't even know if Dell will all me exchange this one for a new one.

I also forgot to mention that the speakers have a muffled and tinny sound to them.

I'm not really a picky person but this list is way too long to be overlooked.
    What are your thoughts?

I don't know how lenient they will be after such a long time.

be glad you got a glossy... i just returned my matte... mattes have extreme sparkle that will hurt your eyes. Honestly glossy is so much better im a convert !

as for the other issues... id say the hassle isnt worth it. But if you feel that it bothers you so much that you cant take it anymore... go ahead and call up dell and see what they have to say.

    You are wayyyyyy too late.

Best bet is to call and ask. They will probably not allow an exchange, but if you have a warranty (comes with a standard 1-year mail-in) you should be able to have them fix the problems.

As others have said, you are a bit late. With things like the screen, that's something you would have noticed right out of the box and should have contacted them immediately. As for the other issues, I would try contacting their support assuming it has a warranty. If you didn't upgrade the warranty, they may require you to send the laptop as opposed to the on-site repairs. If you can live with the issues, I say stick with it as surrendering your laptop blows and they are not responsible for any data that may be lost on your HD. Although, you can remove it before you send it.

As for the exchange, they usually do those after lots of troubleshooting and unresolved issues. Mainly multiple hardware failures or something that is unfixable by their techs. Your issues sound fixable so they will more than likely do just that.

    Good Luck!
