Should I be concerned with Dell's Bluetooth stack and a v270?

I really think I want a v270 Logitech mouse for my 1210, but I keep hearing about lag and issues with the Dell bluetooth stack. Is this still an issue? Anyone use a Dell with a v270?

Another option is to use MS stack. It comes with SP2 and should automatically install if you don't have Dell's stack installed.

Is that the Widdicom stack? Also, I installed the Dell one, if I uninstall it, how do I install the other?

I don't believe it is Widcomm stack, but it is compatible with most devices that are compatible with Widcomm. I'm sure that probably sounds confusing, so here is an article:

It took me a couple of hours to get BT all nice and ready. I had to uninstall the driver, and then install the new driver. It took a couple of tries because XP kept telling it to use the Dell driver and not XP driver. In the end, I think i ended up deleting the Dell driver so there was no trace of it.

V270 works fine with Toshiba Stack from Dell. You cannot install the software that comes with the mouse, but the finctionality is there without it. Very simple and works fine.

I just got the V270 to use w/ my E1405. I have the Truemobile 350 bluetooth module & didn't even bother installing the Dell/Toshiba stack; nor did I bother installing the Logitech software (setpoint). The mouse works perfectly with the Microsoft stack that comes with SP2, no additional software needed.

Well, I got my v270 fater about 25 hours even though I didn't pay for shipping (and they estimated 3-9 days :)), and have been using the Dell Stack. Works fine. Tried the MS stack as well, but my BT light would not light up when the chip was turned on, and I sometimes need that reminded to remember to turn it off. So Dell does indeed work fine for me :)
