I've been obsessing over the laptop for days on end and I'm really tempted to buy it, but I'm worried that there might be better deals or coupons coming up. Does anyone know when the best times for buying a laptop are?

And does anyone know if new coupons for canada come out right after the old ones expire?

There are always better deals and coupons coming up. Buy a laptop when you need it.

    Indeed.

I'd say, though, that you should make sure that it's what you want in a laptop. I don't know how much longer the coupons will be around due to the fact that the 1520 is getting the boot, and I think that's the only reason the coupons are around right now.

I've configured the laptop to death and i know exactly what i want. I initially wanted an xps 1330, but realized that you're only paying for its sexiness rather than its features.

Metal Gear Solid is awesome Btw :)

Canadian deals are few and far between and pale in comparison to what the US gets. Check out www.DFSDirect.ca for open box if you want a good deal. My 1420 was half the price of the identical unit configured on dell.ca.

Buy what you think will make you happiest and meet your needs now. Get the fastest processor you can afford. Remember it will be obsolete almost by the time you receive your shipment anyway and unlike a desktop there are few upgrade paths available to you.
