I'm in Singapore. What are the chances that the xps m1330 will fall in price within a month? The 1GB free ram upgrade is not a good incentive to buy now...
The same configuration in Malaysia is about SGD$300 cheaper....

I am going to wait, I want an option for at least a spare battery and something other than a backpack, I want a leather case. Right now it can be configured with great specs, but the options are just limited.

Same config with Malaysia when I last check is about SGD$110 different only, no way it's SGD$300.
Also if u wait, the next update will be after 1st July when the 7% GST will kick in.
Yes, I agreed. Another 1GB RAM is not that attractive at all, at the moment u can get a 1GB RAM under SGD$100 (Kingston).

With Dell, there are periods where you can negociate better prices. So I think it's important to try to wait for the best moment :) No always easy unfortunately, but that should allow you to save some $... And also try to negociate your quote by phone, usually you can have some more bargain.

I think the prices just going to go higher.. because the demand now is good.. it will be better after reviews are out and when people find out what a good product it is.. we could see prices going northward... but could go down as well.. so its just a matter of ur luck i guess

    Choy,

price of computer, this case laptop going up, you are joking, if I were you, cybernick, I will wait for a while till the price drop drastically, like 1-2 years and get it through 2nd market.

I got my D600 RECENTLY with everything, sxga+, 1G, etc. for US$300. When new it exceeds US$2300(from PCmag price).

most people here will disagree with me.

Thats the question, will there be better offers which outweigh the increase in the 2% GST?

That all depend on luck I guess, spec out what u want for the moment & remember the price. Once other offer kick-in, spec out again the same & compare the price.
The 7% GST only increase price by SGD$44.50 by my last calculation, so I dont know if the next offer by Dell is going to be good or not.
For me, I will wait :) Just my opinion.
