    There's a great deal going on right now, I can probably get a T7500 8600GT and 2gig 160G M1530 for $1000

should i wait for Jan for the new processors to come out? Or just buy now

By the way how's the resale value for these XPS machines? are they as liquid as Macbooks?

For regular use the CPU upgrades in the future will not make much of a difference. But if you multi task a lot then wait.

    maybe some price difference?

If the one i buy for 1000 now will be 700 I will definitely wait. If it's going to be say 950 then I think I ll just buy now

most computers don't retain much value just because as soon as they are outdated(like every 2 weeks...) they lose value, if you buy for 1000 now you won't get 950 in a month because there is now something better out there you might get say 800 maybe??? I no expert on resale of computers I have never sold one, I just run mine to the ground then recycle them.

This is just my think, I could be wrong.
