    Should I expect a delay? Inspiron 1525, some other questions too.

    I ordered on 8/3/2008. Basic configuration with only the processor being upgraded.

    Inpsiron 1525
    -Jet black
    -Pentium dual core T2390
    -80GB HD
    -1GB Memory
    -6 cell battery

    It went changed to "in production" the next day, and has been there ever since. Does it still have to go through the 3-4 day boxing phase? The estimated ship date is 8/14/2008, with est. delivery 8/18/2008. I got the free 2nd day upgrade, but since the delivery falls on a saturday, I'll have to wait until monday. I live in Tennessee.

    Also, is there a certain time that Dell updates the order status, like in the evenings. Or can it update at any time?

    It would be nice if they would ship it one day early, so I'd maybe get it Friday, but I seriously doubt that will happen.

    Called customer service just a few minutes ago. I was told that it is in the "boxing" phase right now, and is still scheduled to be shipped on the August 14. She said we may have it Friday, but they could not guarantee it.

    So, when it is shipped, where exactly does it ship from? I'm located in Knoxville, TN, so would a one day delivery be possible?

    Just checked online status, and it has shipped. Should be here tomorrow. Not too shabby.
