I checked a bunch of stores around town looking for a sleeve and could only find one that fits the D630: the 15" Incase Macbook Pro sleeve. I looked up Incase and found that they only produce things for Apple products. iPods, Macbooks, Powerbooks, etc. It makes me feel kinda nasty, like I'm climbing on board the iPod-me-too bandwagon. Actually scratch that, it's the nasty that you'd feel if you walked in on your sister undressed. Yep, it's that dirty.

Kinda like people using iPod earbuds with their Sandisk MP3, or Creative MP3, or hell, even those generic MP3 players :p

Anyways, don't worry, unless there is a explicit Apple design on it, I wouldn't worry much about it.

Dont feel bad, they are two lousy companies that can both be cheated or treated unfairly in my opinion, no offence Dell or Mac owners. I wouldnt do it to a good brand like HP!! So you are filthy it you did that! JK, there nothing wrong with that! LOL

That's kind of sad. I know I could sell my two pairs of iPod earbuds for $20 each if I wanted to, but the lameness is so lame.

The sleeve fits fairly well. It's obviously a bit wider because it's designed for the Macbook Pro (and the 14" iBook / Powerbook) but since the D630 is thicker, it doesn't slide around too much. Depth-wise it's about an inch longer than the laptop so there's some space when it's in there. It smells funny though.

I usually ride a BMW and wear black gloves I bought in a Honda store - complete with the Honda name boldly stamped in bright red. Sometimes I ride a Honda while wearing a BMW jacket. I love the responses which some people communicate to me - usually "flipping the bird" or mentioning how disloyal I am to whichever brand I happen to somehow be insulting. If people react to you in the same way, you've done very well!

    1138,

Do you use the 9 cell battery with yours? I'm in search of a sleeve for my d630. Any advice helps!

    Thanks,
    SuperChick

As long as it doesn't have any lame iSomething on it, I'd use it, since they're basically just marketing it to Apple fans, but it's not like their loyal to Apple and you'd be making some sort of statement if you carried it around.

It depends on your personality, though, as if it fits and you like it, there is no real reason you can't use it. I wouldn't quite use the analogy you did as a valid comparison.

Put Linux with Beryl on it and use a Mac theme. Then they'll think it's a Mac...
