So I purchased the M1530 last week, its estimated to ship on the 9th. I ordered the non-LED 1440X900 display. However, I do not have the funds to pay for the LED 1440x900 display, but is it worth delaying my laptop and paying 50$ more for the 1680X1050 display? Is that necessary on a 15 inch notebook, or would everything be really small. My primary use for it is for college work. I will do occasional photoshopping and gaming on it, but I have my desktop for those two. Other than that, maybe occasional movie watching on it. Do you think its worth it? Thanks.

Honestly it sounds like you shouldnt of ordered a 1530. Nothing over 1164x800 is "necessary".

I have always taken the approach that I will be staring at that screen for countless hours so unless it is drastically more expensive I tend to opt for the highest resolution. If you don't intend to use an external monitor you may give the higher res more consideration as well.

LED is going to be easier on the eyes, physically and mentally.

LED WXGA+ is 150$ upgrade over the non LED WXGA+ btw...

If you do not mind taking chances with the WSXGA+ panels, i say go for it. The extra pixels sure does come in handy when you are working with software such as photoshop
