    Should i return a M1330 for cpu whine

    Should i not just wait a few months, i can bare with it, its not that loud, and then hopefully they would have sorted it out, if not i may get lucky and they will have upgraded the mobos to penryn and this iwll fix the problem.

    That whine noise is around since atleast the arrival of the centrino Pentium M. Seeing as this isn't a matter of the CPU itself, but rather of motherboard components i wouldn't bet my money on the penryn being the 100% saviour ;)

    Obviously i do hope that they get rid of the whine somehow...

    the thing is i can only hear it sometimes and even then it is quiet and pretty barable, i will be listening to music most of the time. and one thing i have noticed is the whine icreases in volume when the lan cable in being used.

    I never have this issue.. I always disable that power saving garbage though. I don't let the CPU speed step. I want it at 100% at all times.

    That might be why...
