    Should i wait to buy xps m170

    i am going to buy the xps m170 tommorow with 2.0 gig 1 gig of ram and the sound blaster card (+$100) everything else all stripped down for like $1808 w/ shipping , it was 350 dollars cheaper 3 days ago...should i wait for another coupon, i am using a 10% off one right now. Any help would be apreciated...

    i would suggest getting the E1705. Better processor and lower cost - without the gaudy looks, too.

    They are probably phasing the Pentium M XPS version so it probably won't be around much longer.

    i cant get it with the gforce 7800, i wouldnt mind getting that it looks pretty nice...

    Exactly. If you want the notebook for gaming then the XPS M170 with the 7800GTX is your best bet. (For the price anyways) But something like the E1705 has a much weaker X1400. Around 1/4 the power. What you could do is tell dell that you were going to order it when the price was cheaper then it went up. If you call them up they might lower the price for you. Because the XPS M170 was selling for $1349 for the basic config earlier this week.

    One thing that you could try though is looking for the E1705 in Dell Outlet. I have seen quite a few in the past with the Go 7800. Dell's Outlet notebooks are either (New, Refurbished, or Scratch and Dent)

    if thats true why would it go off sale, i am not saying your wrong about them phasing it out, i am just angry i didnt purchase it 3 days ago when it was on sale....now i am gonna buy the same sysytem for like 450 dollars more....
