Whilst trying (and failing!) to get the Call Centre rep handling my quote to budge even in the slightest, I decided to check out the prices on the US site... Even accounting for the weak US $, the highest base model comes in less than the second highest model on the UK site! I wonder how hard it is just to swap the keyboard on it and send it over?![]()

Oh, and I've just noticed the US one has the 3yrs at home service -"Warranty & Service
3Yr In-Home Service,4 Parts Labor, 24x7 Phone Support" , but admittedly no Blu-Ray drive. Not a fantastic comparison.. my bad

Also the UK model is including VAT and shipping, the US model is the price without tax or shipping.

Dell is a US company. I'm sure they've invested enough in the US to be able to offer laptops for a lower cost than elsewhere.
Call and find a rep that will budge, or buy a different laptop. -
Even with your cost @1k do a search for Dell UK coupons..here s a 10% discount @you Code: Enter: L23XRVXCNDPWCW

Thanks for that.. I've already got one 10% discount code that I might use on my order if I can get on my order. I was just surprised at the cost differences, but perhaps it's closer than my initial thoughts. I still find the $117.66/£60 cost of shopping sickening.
Sick at the cost difference
