*Sigh* -- Officially a member of the ships 8/28 club

Well folks, ESD was today, now moved to 8/28. Reason? LCD glass and sound card. I spoke to a very eager CSR who really did do everything in his power to help. I was nice (unlike I had orignally planned) and turns out kindness pays -- not only do I have free overnight (which I received with the last delay) but also $100 credit and, as they tell us all, priority expidition. Anyway, the poor CSR's who are willing to help keep getting slammed with angry people when in fact Dell needs to re-evaluate how they order and how they meet supply and demand. I think this new notebook has been so popular, and such an eye opener, that they'll change things -- or at least you would hope. I am pleased with their products so I decided to stick this one out -- and I do think that since they only order small amounts every 2 hour (or so the factory tour video says) that they'll be fixing small bugs as they go so those of us still waiting may be lucky and get really well built, bug free, machines. (Or, am I just telling myself these things to make myself feel better? hmmmm...)
