Your Sigma Tel High Definition Audio CODEC...

On a previous post I was crying about the overall music sound fidelity of my E-1705.

Check yours under the “sounds and audio properties’ under the hardware tab.

Mine was turned OFF!!??? Not by me as I did not think to look there! I turned it on and did a restart.

This made a big difference in the overall fidelity of my music files which had bugged me the last couple of days. :)

    Is yours turned on? ;)

My machine was DOA from dell who did a motherboard swap. I give myself a wee bit of credit :p who had to convince dell it was NOT the fans. Who knows what else has been bent.

Glad you checked yours since..day one, lol.

I really don't understand why Dell and Sigma knew about the audio properties (no sound, no speaker, no stereo mixer control, etc...) and they still sell computers and cheat customer like that.
    So disappointed about the company.
Anybody has an idea of how to fix these problems, please let us know...Thanks a million
