Hello. I am having problems with the SigmaTel microphone array on my Dell XPS M1330 laptop computer. I am trying to record audio through my microphone/line -in through Adobe Audition 1.5 and the microphone array is picking up unwanted background noise. This is posing a real problem for me, since I am playing music in the background while recording my voice through the microphone. If I simply turn off the microphone array through Windows and open up Audition, a pop-up window appears that states there is an input device error: undefined external error. Does anyone know how I can disable the microphone array and still be able to record my voice through the line-in/microphone outlet in Audition.
