    Hello everyone,

I just configured the following system and am planning on order it very soon with the 750.00 off coupon:

    Inspiron E1705 Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2400 (1.83GHz/667MHz FSB)
Operating System (Office software not included) Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition
LCD Panel 17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife™
Memory 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
External Keyboard Dell Bluetooth Keyboard and Optical Mouse
    Video Card 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7900 GS
Hard Drive 100GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    90 Watt Spare AC Adapter
Network Card Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
    Adobe Software Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 6.0
    Combo/DVD+RW Drives 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Sound Options Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™ HD Software Edition
Wireless Networking Cards Intel® PRO 3945 and Dell 350 Bluetooth Internal
Primary Battery 80 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
1Yr Ltd Warranty, 1Yr Mail-In Service, and 1Yr HW Warranty Support
Future Operating Systems Windows Vista™ Capable
Operating System Re-Installation CD Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition re-installation CD

I have one pretty simple question: I chose the purchase a "90 Watt Spare AC Adapter." Spare implies that the computer will ship with one already, obviously. I just wanted to make sure that this was the case, and that the computer ships with an AC adapter as it is. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, just another quick question... does anyone have a similarly configured E1705? How does it operate and work for you? I'm just curious. I've read all the reviews and searched the topic countless times, and these forums have been a great help in determining my purchase!

    Thanks,

    - VA

When I ordered my E1505 with the 'spare' adapter then it came with 2 of them. One oh which was actually larger then the other. So it made nicely for one for traveling and one for at home.

Yes, you will receive an ac adapter with your laptop, and then which ever battery you choose. You won't receive an extra battery unless you order one.

If you ordered an additional adapter, it will with an extra.

    Try searching for some reviews/opinions:

save yourself some money, get the 6 cell battery from dell, then buy a 9 cell on ebay for $70 or less...

i'm happy with mine...not perfect but great hardware/dollar ratio....

Well, that explains that. I ordered a 6 cell and 9 cell battery, and an extra AC adapter. I ended up getting two extra as well.

And here I thought Dell just made a mistake :p
