I upgraded my nvidia drivers for my m1530 and my sleep mode no longer functions. I have tried a multitude of drivers from laptop video 2 go and sleep mode just doesn't function anymore. It is configured properly to sleep when the lid closes but it just doesn't work.

    Please help!

Is it going into sleep from the start menu?
In case it is a lid specific problem, try bringing a small manget below the touchpad buttons, near the left button.. If the display doesn't turn off, or the computer doesn't go into sleep, it probably is a switch problem, which would have to b replaced...

wow weird. sleep from the start menu blanks the screen and locks it. If I tap the mouse the screen comes back locked. sleep is definately not working right...

Try disabling, and then enabling hybrid sleep.. I think it is a known issue with certain nvidia drivers, and vista... This was probably addressed in SP1,although i am not sure... Try rolling back to default dell drives to see if yor issue is resolved, for the time being..
