Hi guys i could really do wuth ur help plz.

My 5100 came with 256 ram and i bought another 256 stick about 3 weeks ago and put in and all was fine,i now had 512 ram.
but then I booted it up the other day and it said my system memory had changed,i looked and it had gone back to 256,i assumed the new stick was crap,so took it out,but then it wouldnt boot up.so i moved the original stick to slot b and it booted ok.So that leaves with the fact that slot a is not reading the ram and i have no idea why.I havent added any hardware.
    Plz help if u can

This sounds like a call to tech support. Hopefully you're still under warranty.
