The CD Drive on my inspiron 1520 seems really slow.. I have been installing programs and it takes forever. I also just copied a 320MB file from a CD and it took 13 minutes. Has anyone else experienced this? I am using "high performance" battery mode.

Check if the ATA/ ATAPI interface has dropped into PIO mode. This will make the whole computer feel slow.

    More details at Microsoft.
