I have a new m1330 with 2.5GHz and 4GB of Ram. This is my first Vista computer. I am having issues with slow loading of web pages that I am reminded of the days of dailup connection. I have tried removing the internet security software and changing the power plan to High performance. I keep having to refresh to get webpages to load faster or to load at all. Any thoughts?

Sounds like your router/ISP, not Vista.

It sounds like your Internet connection period......nothing to specifically do with processor speed or RAM amount.

What kind of router do you have, and which network card did you get with your m1330?

It's not my router since I am not having this problem with my 3 year old laptop with Windows XP.

Well, let me put it like this: the computing power required to load webpages is roughly equivalent to the amount required to word process. I mean, you can websurf on a 15-year-old computer running Windows 3.0 without problems. Something is up with the Internet connection, either at the source (ISP) or beyond.
