Okay, when I am watching a movie and I go to move my cursor so that the little box on the bottom pops up so I can pause the movie, a thin white line appears at the bottom of the screen. It kind of blends in with the progress meter showing you how far along you are in the movie. When I go back to playing the movie, the thin white line does not go away even though the progress meter and the control panel have disappeared. It is not in the picture of the movie but it is distracting.
I have downloaded the recent Windows updates pertaining to MD. Any ideas what may be causing this? Hope its not an internal thing because I really like this system.
    Thanks!

what happens when you minimize, then maximize the viewer?

also, why use your mouse at all? that's what those buttons on the front of the computer are for and they are way more convenient than using a mouse to pause/play/etc.

Min/Max does nothing...line is still there...

Good point about the mouse. I'll start over and see if using buttons alleviates the problem.

Okay, it is definitely related to the "ticker" that tells you how far along you are in the movie. It also has the dolby digital logo on the movie I'm currently trying to watch.
When I initially start the movie upon media direct launch, its not there. Only when I pause it or cause this "ticker" to appear does it show. When the "ticker" goes away, the white line that is exactly the length of the "ticker" does not go away. Hmmm, not sure what could be causing this. Anyone else have this problem?

it's an overlay problem with your video viewer.

    what application are you using?

i get it sometimes too with other viewers.

does it do it with other players or with other videos?

You can change the zoom option to something else then come back, using the 'info' button on the remote if you have the remote. That should eliminate the bar.

Sorry for the ignorance drumfu....kinda dumb about the lingo...application meaning what? Mediadirect on XP is maybe what you are after.
Also, what other viewer options would I have? Windows Media Player?

Solapark - tried your recommendation and it worked. It was set on zoom setting 1 and I changed it to 3. (not sure if that is WS or true FS zoom but it sent that stupid white line away and actually the pic looks better. Thanks
