Any recommendation for scratch removers on the material for the 1520 palm rest? It's not a deep scratch but I want it gone! Thanks in advance.

its plastic...you wont have much luck. its not like a car finish where you can buff it out.

Think Meguiar's Deep Crystal Step 1 and 2 be able to remove the scratch?

i doubt it. remember what your laptop is is plastic. not paint. those scratch remover for car paint essentially spear the surrounding paint slightly to fill the missing paint. i doubt this will work with your laptop. the only way would be to sorta melt it while buffing but that would just turn out bad. your laptop will get many more dings and scratches in the future. just think of this as its first, because it wont be the last.

I agree with others. Clean it too much and it'll come out looking alot worse. I'd be careful with the finish on it.

Inspirons have painted plastic, however the paint coating is very thin. If you try to remove it with a chemical (or by other means) it’ll damage the paint and you’ll end up with a much worse looking large patch (discoloration).
