Should I expect any issues with my 1530? I am doing it through WU, not prompting it myself. I heard that the fingerprint reader drivers had to be updated first, but my SP1 showed up without doing that. Just wanting to make sure it is smooth and no surprises.

Everything went fine for me. My fingerprint reader never worked properly to begin with though so I can't tell you if SP1 had any negative impact on it.

Good to know on SP1 installation. Going to do it tonight. Looks like a pretty big file.

My fingerprint reader worked great when I first got it but right now only works for initial windows login. The pages I registered it for do not recognize my fingerprint for username/password info. Sometimes it gives a too short swipe error, but most of the time does not even recognize that a finger has been swiped.

Worked fine here.. I just see the file copying is faster and you can select specific drives to defrag....the standalone d/l is around 440mbs...you should keep a copy for reinstalls ...saves mucho time..cheers...

Well if your using Microsoft Update than you should already have most of the updates already installed. SP1 is mainly a combination of updates all rolled together.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Any additional benefits noticed after SP1 installs? So far we got quicker file copy and defrag of specific drives.

Can we see some pre and post SP1 benchmarks after bloatware removal and optimizations? I should hope everyone is treating there M1530s to Tuneup Utilites 2008
