So does this seem like a decent deal for a Dell?

    I got the following laptop:

    1) Inspiron E1705, Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB/2.00GHz/667MHz)
    2) 17 inch UltraSharp TrueLife Wide-screen WUXGA, for Inspiron 9400/E1705
    3) 2GB, DDR2, 533MHz 2 Dimm, for Inspiron 9400/E1705
    4) 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS, for Inspiron 9400/E1705
    5) 160GB 5400RPM SATA HARD DRIVE I9400/E1705
    6) 8X DVD+/-RW Drive, for Inspiron 9400/E1705
    7) Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/g Mini Card (54Mbps)

Plus a 3 year on-site warranty, and all the misc junk that Dell bundles with their laptops.

They gave me 12% off as an educational discount(since I got the three year warranty) and let me stack the standard 25% off on-line coupon. With everything it was $1525 plus tax.

So those of you with more experience how does this stack up with what Dell's normally cost? I just want to make sure I did not get ripped off compared to what others pay.

    Thanks, Eric

That's a good price for that set-up, esp with the 3 year.

Yea, good deal. I got the same thing except with a 80GB 7200rpm HDD and the dell wireless card, and one year warranty for 1600 with tax.
