Actually since that "FREE 160GB 5400RPM" thing, the upgrade to 7200 costs like over 150 now.

I _had_ to get the 7200 rpm drive in order to pump up the price to $1399! (for the -$350 coupon) I got my 1420 for $1067 before tax - for some reason the price has been falling all day. :D

Yeah these prices are too good to be true right now.

I wanted to get the 5400RPM drive because I'm more interested in extending the run time than anything else, and my fiancée's laptop has a 5400RPM drive and it's not too bad. The laptop isn't going to be my main computer anyway, for that I have my customized XPS 410 with 2x74GB WD Raptors in RAID0 and 2x320GB WD Caviars, also in RAID0. :)

I decided instead to get the Complete Care because I travel a fair amount and did actually lose a work laptop due to mishandling.

And in case anyone is wondering I went ahead and ordered it. Ship date is 07/19, and it's already showing as "In Production"!

This is going to be my first personal laptop (though I've had several through work).

I was talking to the OP, not you...you already have the 7200RPM drive and stuff...I got practically the same thing as you for $1115, just 1 year warranty - but with CompleteCare/LoJack...

The $350 off $1399 is dead now so...There is a $225 off though if you look around, but it'll probably die soon also.

I got a case and the 1-yr accidental damage / Lo Jack, and I live in CA so I get screwed on state environmental fees and taxes, so that is why my totals are higher than some of you guys are seeing, I didn't include that in my posting. Still a banging deal I think. And I'm in testing last I checked. :)
