So you want to know when your boxed laptop will ship...

Finally, after "intensive" research , I found the flight schedule for the China Airline that leaves from TAIWAN TAOYUAN INTL AIRPORT to ANCHORAGE, ALASKA then to NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. I'm not sure how many of you would be interested in this but this may reduce the pain in the waiting process (especially those of you in Boxing). As of today the flight schedule reads,

I think STD stands for Standard Time Departure and STA Standard Time Arrival and ETA Estimated Time Arrival. I may be wrong, someone correct me if they know.

Here is the site where you can see the flight schedule. Enter the date, and check Departure and under city, select TAIPEI. You can see flight schedule up to 2days in advance.

Well this was really good news for me so I had to dig deeper as I couldn't sleep for **** lol. My lappy is "boxed" right now so it's waiting for it's plane. This is what all I uncovered, so here is basically the journey for everyones laptops that are in the boxing stage right now.

I was iffy about if those were actually are laptops but sure enough a flight from malaysia just arrived. Alright so they left Penang, Malaysia at 7:45 pm cst tonight and arrived in Taipei, Taiwan at exactly 12:03 am this morning. They left Taiwan about 2 hours ago at 1:50 am and are scheduled to land in Anchorage tonight at about 6:30 pm. They are scheduled to leave Anchorage an hour later at 7:35 pm tonight finally heading to sweet Nashville, Tennessee. Finally the 747 should arrive in Nashville with all of our new laptops at around 4:30 am early friday morning. So I'm guessing the majority will get theres either friday or early on next week. Ahh now thats a relief lol

well apparently my laptop wasn't on that flight to nashville because mine is still in boxing. this is day 4.5. ****ing ridiculous

 

Me, too, farelli. I wanted to have it to play with over the weekend, but it looks like I'll get it as promised on Tuesday or maybe Monday if it manages to ship out sometime today. I'm assuming shipping happens all day.

I've heard people talk about an e-mail notification of shipping. Which get updated sooner, the e-mail or the phone status?

 

Yes, I was wondering this too. Which way tells us first that the laptop has shipped. Dell's Online status, the phone status, or the email they send?

 

I too have been in boxing since Tuesday, and am getting a little irked how it has yet to ship, hopefully it will today

Well from what someone said either yesterday or the day before his lappy shipped at 12pm but dell wasnt showing it until 6pm that night so thats what I'm hoping. Regardless I havent checked my status yet but if Im not in shipping then it looks like I'll probably be meeting my esd also lol..8/21 ftL

 

I JUST called the 800 number and the lady told me mine is SHIPPED!!! I never got the e-mail though. So there's your answer!

Also, my online status says it's Shipped but I have no tracking or carrier information.
