So, has it been confirmed what "all day computing" amounts to in the e-series?

I am looking for mobility and/or battery life in my next laptop, and I really have been contemplating over the e-series or an Thinkpad X61s. Any info is appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if the 12 and 13 inch ultra mobile versions will have a slice battery option?

I think it will be equivalent of running 2 6 cell batteries. I would venture to guess they would advertise them as being able to go about 10 hours or more, but you could probably expect realistically a full 8 hour work day off of battery.

(All day meaning work day not 24 hour day)

It can be done with the D630 already. With moderate power settings, my D630 with the 9 cell and 6 cell modular battery will last a full work day unplugged from the power socket.
