How does one go about getting one? I heard that dell employees are gits and won't find them for you, and that a guy had bought up a load and then sold them on, but what about now?
-
Im also interested in gertting hold of one of these for my 1400, if it ever arrives that is.... Anyone know where to get them from?
-
You can get it from the Dell Parts store here.
-
Yup, I ordered one that was "refurbished" and it looks and works like new. Although, I havent really had a chance to use it...since I am always pretty close to the laptop...maybe for when I hook into a TV to display something it would be of more use

Will the remote work for the vostro 1500? And what all does the remote do? Ive never seen one but i am interested in getting one.
-
That's from the usa, any chance of one for the uk/euro?
-
The remote has one glaring error:
You can't start Media Center from the remote itself.
That's like a remote control without a power button/on/off button.
Ain't the end of the world, but still an inane ommission. Sometimes I wonder who makes these things. -

did anyone try using this remote with powerDVD or any other applications? Does it come with any software?
It would be nice to find IR codes to program my universal... -
I tried using it with VLC today and it didn't work. I use it with PowerPoint in class all the time. Haven't really used it for any media playing other than turning the system volume up and down though.
So, how about those media remotes for my Vostro 1500?
