well sadly this doesnt really "solve" the delays, most of the delays were for Inspirons and XPS anyway, im sure their getting their business lines out plenty quick, i lost the link but i think engadget reported a couple days ago that dell blamed their delays partly on paint jobs. Vostro = business= no fancy paint= less delay

Gotta be pulling a rabbit outta me... Pretty much next day shipping and I'm STILL in the BUILD stage! WTF is Dell doing... I didn't even pick a fancy color just so I could avoid this crap!

I'm over 60 days waiting for my M1330 and just had the ESD moved back to October. So no, there are still more delays.

Vostros are pretty good at getting out on time/early. It's the Inspirons and XPS's that have all the delays.

Why are Vostros so much faster? They are built in Texas, and don't get ordered as often...there are 100 times more Inspiron orders coming in, and they are built in Malaysia ;)

Actually, my Vostro was also built in Malaysia. It had that little sticker on the box that said "assembled in Malaysia". The reason people are getting their Vostro so early is that it's probably less known. They do massive advertisements for the Insprion, but I haven't see any for the Vostro.
