Sounds legit. I might try it out later.

Well seems possible seeing as you can make a Quadro a GeForce
-
Yes you can do it, I've done it, it's not hard. There is really no DX gaming loss, and OpenGL games (Quake based) run with higher fps. I'll save you the time, and tell you that the Quadro equivalent of the 8600 is the Quadro FX 570M, which is device ID 040C. So load up Rivatuner, choose to edit the bios, choose custom and scroll down to 040C and apply. Don't restart when it asks, uninstall your Nvidia drivers in your control panel and then reboot and when you install laptopvideo2go drivers it will detect it as a Quadro FX 570M.

Id like to see some people try this and report back. If it worked flawlessly, on which system. Did they notice games running better etc
Edit : "I have to stress that unless you intend to use it with a professional 3D application like 3ds Max, you will not benefit from soft-modding your GeForce into a Quadro." from the link why does he say that when he gets a 80point score up in 3dmark06 1fps? -
thank U for answer. Im going to do this. Hope then AutoCad will work with all of its 3D features.
-
So did it work better? I have solidworks 2007, and want to make this mod, hopefully gain some speed in the program.
-
I'm going to try this later.

Would a GeForce card modded into a Quadro be as good at gaming as a GeForce card? And could you overclock a soft-modded Quadro?
