Hi there,
i love my 9400.. Ok i have it only with the x1400 but i will change it to a 7900gs..
My questions:
1. I have 2x512mb pc 5300 in there from Dell. I want to Upgrade from the 1 to 2 GB. I can get 2x1 GB PC4200 Modules for 90 Euro (both). Will i recon any Performance gap to my negative or should i get pc5300 modules for more money.
2. I read about an A04 Bios. I still found on every Dell side the A02 Bios.. What is wrong and where can i get the A04 Bios

Going from PC5300 to PC4200 will certainly give you a small speed hit as it will downclock the FSB from 667MHz to 533MHz. As far as the BIOS update goes, I found A04 first try on the U.S. site. What country are you in?

Don't worry about the RAM speed.. You will not notice a difference. Technically, yes, 4200 is slower but in reality the higher CAS latency on the 5300 will negate any real performance increase. More slower RAM is better than less faster RAM.
Here's the bios update:

hey thats why i love this side.. thanx for the infos and the fast help

vespoli is correct, unless the price difference is minimal between 533 and 667, get 533 as you won't notice much [if any] difference.
p.s. I loooove Switzerland
