Okay so this is my first laptop and Dell, its for college. Anyways I got my Dell E1505 on Wednesday and realized how much crap Dell put on it. So today I decided to reformat and reinstall Windows. This is before I read all the stuff on this site, I've done it many times on a desktop so I thought it would be no big deal. Well I reformatted and reinstalled then came here and learned about the partitions and stuff. Well now that nothing works I regret doing the reformat. I'm trying to fix it back to normal myself but it doesnt seem to want to cooperate with me. For example the video drivers dont work right. Now I've wasted an entire day with this thing.

I got the WSXGA TruLife screen and its giving me problems, I said so in the other thread. I think I have the Samsung screen and probably want it replaced. Anyways...

Any suggestions on what to do? If I do call Dell tech support what should I say and do? I've never delt with Dell before. I do have that completecare protection. Would they change the screen and stuff for free? I dunno, any info would be great!

    Really frustrating!

Just goto the dell website and download the drivers for your model. =) That should fix up your drivers issue etc. =)

If you didn't install all the drivers in the order from SG's guide the only way to fix it is to reformat and reinstall again... this is from experience!
