Maybe it's possible that I just don't read Chinese well. Oh wait, I don't read Chinese at all. But this website doesn't seem to show any pics of the M1330.

Its got a latch? Why? After most of the stylish brands (Apple, Sony, Asus, and LG too I think) have moved on to latchless designs, why is Dell still doing the latch thing?

Other than that, this thing is beautiful. Brushed aluminum palmrests are awesome. I think it looks better in black though....

I just looked at the first pic again and I don't think there is a latch afterall, and there's no place for it to latch into either.

As for the July 10th release date the OP mentioned. That's probably for China, right? And for the US it'll be Monday or Tuesday?

I have to say though (as someone who is very excited about this laptop) im not sure if im loving it :( I have an M1210 and really wanted to replace it with this but im starting to think the M1210 looks better.

The huge gaps between some of the keys will be a dirt magnet

I dont like the acrylic strip at the top of the keyboard (fingerprint magnet)

    Pointless fingerprint reader.

    Hmmmmmmm

Look nice... Not a big fan of the thick bezel though. I guess it has to be pretty thick to accommodate for the webcam.

Also, based off the other pics i have seen(and the hinge design) there will be no ports on the back. Does this trend annoy anyone else? Ever since the macbook/powerbook ditched all the rear ports, other companies have followed. Personally, i like having the power, VGA and maybe a couple USB ports in the back. The fewer cables running off the side of my laptop, the better.(esp. a thick VGA one.)

I actually like it there, better then embedded in the mouse buttons...

Also, how often do you have direct contact with the palm rest directly below the arrow keys? Seems like a great place to put it.

My guess/hope would be that the fingerprint reader is near the arrow/navigation keys because the reader will support scrolling.

I'm guessing that this notebook would look better in black or white to some. The red does have a cool factor though. Great picture! Its great to atlast look the M1330 in the eye for a moment. The keyboard is just like that on the Pavilion's with the rounded edges.

    Beautiful!

I love it, very thin, very sleek. The red doesn't quite bother me, as a matter of fact what the machine looks like never really bothered me, its how its built and whats in it that is important imo.

Guess I'll wait for this little baby to come out before I order annything :D

it'll be between the m1330 and the D630 by the 20th of july :D

Somehow I just don't like notebooks with the "cheesewedge" kind of design. Honestly, I would rather the whole thing was a bit thicker instead of having the front to be so slim but the back be like 1.6" thick (not saying that this measurement applies to the M1330). That picture was only from the front; a sideview picture will show more bulk.

Well since i felt that the faded and lack of contrast photos may be the reason behind why the keyboard looks cheap. I went to photoshop it abit. I just adjusted abit of the levels.. darken the keys abit, and made the pinkish red, more of the red we wanted :p heres the pic enjoy:

well as for comments about the new pictures of the 1330, i will reserve my judgement til i see it in Real life shots (not product shots) if that makes any sense :p

PS i did this photo in a rush like 2mins.. alright gtg out for basketball!

If you get the Dell Preferred account it's 12 months without interest on XPS systems.

Otherwise, it's not a good choice to use. High APRs.

Only get it if you're planning to buy an XPS system and if you're going to pay it off in 12 months.

If you go 1 month passed a year, then you suffer ACCRUED interest.

As someone who is continuously irritated by the fingerprint reader under the trackpad buttons, I say well-done Dell!

While I don't believe that the design is necessarily trendsetting, if everyone would please note that we're dealing with Dell here, this is shaping up to be a helluva lappy.

Mighty impressive pictures. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more.

I wonder where the thread starter got the July 10th release date on the XPS M1330. All the English gadget blogs have been reporting a June 26th release date on the new Dell laptops.

It looks very nice compared to the M1210. I'm looking forward to this. My bro was actually going to buy the M1210 but I recommended that he wait for the M1330. His budget is $2000, and we get a small business/employee discount on all items so I'm pretty sure he is set.

I think June 26th may have been the announcement date, but actual availability for the XPS wasn't slated until sometime in July.
