    Hi!

So I finally installed XP Pro in my 1720, using a 2nd HD.

I tried using Nlite to slipstream the SATA driver, from intel and from Dell, but none of the discs I burned worked.

I gave up on that and installed it by changing the SATA options in the BIOS to "non AHCI".

After installing XP I was able to install the correct AHCI drivers and switch the options again in the bios.

So now I have everything installed except for the AUDIO, well the MODEM part only, that is.

Where do I get the driver for the Modem found on HD audio device?

I downloaded both the XP and Vista drivers from dell, neither worked.
I followed a bunch of links from here, pointing to other drivers, and that didn't work either.

Under the device manager I have something called MODEM Device with an exclamation mark.

    Someone help me here please...

    Thanks!

Try the Latitude D630 XP driver.
