I didn't see anything about the case. I'm sure it will come with it, though. Only a remote possibility the previous owner used it to bury his dog, and thus didn't return it with the notebook.

I bought mine new and a case did come with it though it's not listed on the specs. It's a nice black and silver colored thick canvas material. It fits nicely even with the extended battery.

    no case included.

and its going back. the samsung screen looks terrible with IE open. anything with a white background has a "texture" look to it.

    oh well.

Now you know what a grainy screen looks like :(

Probably why it was in the outlet in the first place.

    probably.

the screen just looks like it adds a texture to everything, really yucky looking.

still gonna play with the machine and see if i want a 1530 now. may go for a new MBP when they release the new ones.

Yea, after directly comparing the LG and samsung side by side, I think a better term to describe the screen is actually dirty, not grainy. Thats just my opinion though. Plus if you call Dell complaining of a "dirty" screen, they will laugh and tell you to send it into a service depot for 7-10 business days so they can manually wipe your screen with a cloth.

They will send you a new screen if you complain. I actually have one on the way for my LAST m1530...the refurb I bought had an LG :D

So if you complain that your screen does not look right and that it is grainy they will send you a new one.

The warranty states the replacement part might be new or used so you getting the screen you want is 50/50 but with the Samsung more numerous it's more like 40/60.
