I ordered a Dell XPS M1330 on the 5th of July and got an estimated shipping date of the 24th July 2007 in Australia. Now here is the weird thing. I went to the Dell website today and it says PRE ORDER NOW. AVAILABLE FOR SHIPMENT FROM THE 20th OF JULY for the Dell XPS m1330. WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING???? I thought the notebook was launched around the world on the 10th of July!!! Does this mean I wont receive my order on the 24th????
This is getting really annoying!!!

Yes you will.. doesn't it say "Shipment from 20th of July", and so if they said 24th of July to you then it's ok..
-
Weird... the US site has no notification about that...
meh... -
Hope so...Because when I ordered it the website said:
Pre Order Now Shipment From 10th July......My shipment date was 24th July. Now if it is:
Pre Order Now Shipment From 20th July.....I hope my shipment isnt 4th August!
Do you think Dell Australia have had too many Pre Orders? -
Just checked on the UK site and it now says:
Please be advised that there currently is an extended lead-time of approximately two weeks on Dell XPS M1330 Notebooks
My estimated ship time is 23rd July. -
It seems that Dell cannot provide enough XPS... Same delay everywhere, plus no drivers or documentation yet, and no more T7700. Won't be the smoothest launch they have done.
-
which is understandable since they didn't anticipate the m1330 doing so well. i think it's because mainstream users that may have been looking at the 15.4in or the 1420 are now placing orders for the m1330. i know that's what i did after deciding between the 1420 and m1330!

I noticed the same thing too with the dates, Pre order for shipment from the 10th, now it's the 20th.
I want the option for an extra battery and also a leather case. Until I start seeing that I will continue to wait.
The fact is Dell has built a machine that people are liking and it is selling like hotcakes. I think this new range of laptop and desktop computers could take Dell to the top again.
Their sales for the laptop range are going through the roof, well at least in the Asia Pacific market from what the Dell rep tells me, they are taking currently 5 times the orders if he is to be believed. -
well seems like dell is unale to keep up with demand
more demand less supply
i would be surprised if the prices dont go up
if you would like to confirm ur shipping date why not check with ur tracking number as of the status of ur order mostly that gives you a rough idea of the status and yet if it gets you no where you could always call em up on one of their call centres to know wot exactly is going on
Something Very Weird!!!
